The Joshua Retreat Center

The Joshua Tree Retreat Center is one of the cultural centerpieces of the High Desert community.

The Mentalphysics Spiritual Teaching and Retreat Center was dedicated in 1941 in Joshua Tree. Established in 1941, it offers instruction in eastern philosophies adapted for Western audiences, focusing on Prana, breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, and nutrition. The center, with its unique and healing environment, is used for spiritual contemplation and wellness by students of Mentalphysics and other retreat groups.

The JTRC’s 150+ acre campus houses an important collection of organic architecture designed by Lloyd Wright (Frank Lloyd Wright, Jr).
